Come and visit this water mill located on the Dronne river, in the heart of the Poltrot leisure centre. Now shut down, an association led by Mr. William is restoring it to working order and helping visitors discover its secrets. The Moulin de Poltrot is a wheat mill used from the 15th century until the middle of the 19th century. In 1946 it became a flour mill, with the installation of a so-called "Fountain" turbine, 2m in diameter, a 4m water inlet and a waterfall of about 1m. With the capacity of 2 grinders with 4 wheels and a large plansifter, (operation consisting in separating the flour from the bark by a sieve after grinding) it could produce up to 2 tons of flour per day.
